About Rebecca
Many couples feel a sense of shame or fear when they consider counselling, as if coming to therapy must mean something is “wrong” or that separation is inevitable. And yes, sometimes people come when things are serious. But I encourage you to think of couples therapy more like taking your car to a mechanic. You bring it in for tune-ups, oil changes, or to fix small issues before they turn into something bigger. Relationships are the same. They go through wear and tear, and sometimes they just need a little expert attention to get back on track.
That’s where I come in.
I’ve had extensive training and experience working with couples on just about every kind of challenge; from rebuilding after an affair, addiction, or illness, to navigating conflict or finding connection again. Whatever you’re facing, we’ll approach it together with clarity and compassion.
Much of my work draws on The Gottman Method, a research-based approach to understanding what makes relationships thrive. It’s practical and hands-on, with exercises we do together in session that you can also use at home. My goal is to make sure what we do in therapy has real, lasting impact in your day-to-day life.
Credentials & Focus
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO, PACCP) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and advanced training through the Gottman Institute. I specialize in working with couples to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and reconnect emotionally.
I am dedicated to helping couples facing a wide range of challenges, from communication issues and emotional disconnect to recovering from betrayals or addictions.
My experience working with those from diverse cultural backgrounds enables me to bring clarity and build bridges where there might be struggles. I am an empathetic therapist who creates a non-judgmental space where couples can feel truly heard and understood.
This approach is rooted in the belief that everyone has a unique story, and I find joy in walking alongside my clients through their various life challenges and adventures.
In my therapy sessions, I focus on fostering a deeper connection between partners, helping them rediscover and strengthen their bond. My goal is to empower couples with the tools they need to navigate their journey together, promoting healing and growth. With a warm and understanding presence, I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those I works with, guiding them toward healthier and more fulfilling relationships.
I also provide clinical supervision for therapists and students seeking guidance in couples therapy, and I am available to teach the 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work course.
